I thought this might help some of the newer players that seek to learn DotA via AI, but then discover the very different world that is Battle.net. Whether the difference be tactical, item builds, strength/weakness of hero, etc. etc. etc. is open for people to post and explain how things are different.

For example:

I just played a game on RGB's map with Leshrac and I rushed Guinsoo with just boots and a null. In a decent BNet game, my hp would make me completely useless because 2 nukes would finish me off. One needs to be aware of how vulnerable the character is because human players will exploit all of those vulnerabilities. 

Ai is for new player who can't get a hold of what to do
B.net for better version of newbie and get the hell scold out of them of what to do

The way the AI plays makes it really easy to neglect keeping an eye on the mini-map. The AIs are kind enough to always attack via a lane, and very rarely come from anywhere but in front of you. This is very, very different from human play where a great number of battles are fought out of lanes. Practice being aware of where all the colored dots are, yours as well as theirs so you can help with a gank or avoid one.

AI maps will help you to learn the very basics of Dota, like hero control ( spell usage ), and some basic item builds for each heroes, but thats not enough to play Dota with Humans, you should learn some 'ingame tacticts', team work, ganks, wich you can learn only from playing against human.
