DotA (Defense of the Ancients) is a very popular customized game for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. There are two teams of five players and each player selects one of over seventy heroes which they will use to try to destroy their opponent’s base, while protecting their own. As players accumulate money, they can use it to buy a large variety of items to enhance the strengths of their hero and provide additional abilities.

DotA Survivor - 6: There is a Techies just to prove you wrong.

Deadly7 had found controlling 3 bodies that made up the Goblin Techies the most surreal experience of his life. He had quickly set about to farming creeps and getting mana regen items, and then to farming heros. He had used his blink dagger to good effect to escape attacks, which came often. Cisko56 had already bitten the dust in a most satisfying matter. The Tormented Soul had attacked quickly and brutally and the Goblin Techies had ran away on low health with the Tormented Soul in hot pursuit. The end result was quite predictable. Cisko56 had ran over several land mines, and with his low natural HP and armour he exploded into many wispy fragments, while deadly7 grinned at the generous income of cash.

Recently however, the land mines had not drawn any kills whatsoever, and deadly7 had resorted to remote mining the lanes. He had lain down 8, carefully timing his mines in between creep waves. The best part would come soon.

Malle came racing along like usual, hoping to collect a few more creep kills before quickly finishing his radiance. It would be worth all the trouble he had gone to, due to being an ideal target thanks to his lack of disable. When he glided into the AoE of the remote mines, he was immediately engulfed in a fiery apocalypse. His armour crumbled around his ghostly body, and his last thoughts, projected directly at deadly were “You’re f**kin lame deadly.” The Goblin Techies shrugged each of his three shoulders, and went out to collect the Sacred Relic that Malle had dropped. Still, deadly7 could not help but feel a sense of malice that resided in his body. He tried to shake it off. He hadn’t chosen this hero.

Soon after restoring his mana at his affiliated fountain, he went back to laying his mines and traps. Another stretch, this time the river was set up so that a chain of remotes would blow up as the target moved down the river.

While deadly7 had been laying these mines, Negi lay crouched over his panther, curiously watching the proceedings. He had been stalking deadly7 for some time now, considering him one of the greatest threats to his success, but had been too afraid to get close in fear of being “cheesed”. Fortunately Ward prices were down, and Negi had found room in his budget for a set of three wards with true sight. He carefully approached, laying wards and keeping an eye out for the numerous stasis traps around which would alert deadly7 to his presence. His Panther had been acting a bit frisky, but some Moon Berries had made it chill out. The approach would be completely silent.

A commotion in the river caught Negi’s attention. The Rogueknight Seels was chasing after the Slayer, Jasminelily. Jasminelily was slightly faster then Seels and it looked like she would escape when a hammer came flying out of the fog and pounded her in the rear. The kill would be Seels after all. Or would it? Explosions ripped the air and the Slayer exploded into a fine red mist, turning the river a distinct ruby colour. Cries in the distance seemed to suggest that the other mines had been triggered by accident, as several heroes suffered from the effects of the mines. After the haze started to clear, afew seconds after the blast, Negi saw Seels limping hastily away towards the sentinel fountain, his life almost forfeit. He seriously considered taking this easy kill to eliminate a very dangerous enemy, but he was already focused on his target.

Deadly7 found this quite entertaining. Spectating your own kills was certainly very enjoyable. He fished out his most recent purchase from a shady dealer, Khagdars Pipe of Enlightenment, and took a long draft with each of the three goblins. When one of his bodies turned around to check that the statis mines were still in effect, he came face to face with a dopey looking panther. He considered handing the pipe to the panther so they could all have a good time, and then suddenly realised his predicament as he looked up. It was too late to react.

Negi Bounded away on his panther, planning to make afew neutral creep kills before he could hopefully purchase his blink dagger. That would be when the real fun began. For now, he was simply satisfied with eliminating an enemy.

The pipe remained smouldering on the ground, until a shaggy paw picked it up. This simple act would shake the foundations of the competition.
