DotA (Defense of the Ancients) is a very popular customized game for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. There are two teams of five players and each player selects one of over seventy heroes which they will use to try to destroy their opponent’s base, while protecting their own. As players accumulate money, they can use it to buy a large variety of items to enhance the strengths of their hero and provide additional abilities.

DotA Survivor - 1: It gets hot straight away when you're in the shower in the morning.

Inde_ed wasn't much one for jokes when he was on the wrong side of them, but drawing Rigwarl as his new body for this sick game was too much. It wasn't so much that he knew he had drawn what he considered to be one of the worst heroes so much that there was no Kleenex as far as he knew in this world. Usually he would have to wipe his snout on the nearest available leaf. It had been admittedly fun to use his snot as target practice on tree trunks from various distances, but a side of him wanted to see that hot goo all over a pesky rival of his. As he gazed through the now snot coloured trees all around him, he considered how he was going to win in this free for all. He would need to make alliances, and fast. Unfortunately he did not have any idea what the other contestants had drawn from the hero pool, and his speech was rather limited to a few grunts and basic words. This would be tough, but Inde_ed was certainly up for the challenge.

A commotion in an opening a couple of hundred metres away from him caught his attention, and he silently made his way through the undergrowth. The sounds were unmistakably those of a battle in full flight and nearing its end, and the pig man's curiosity was sufficiently piqued when he saw the Troll Thunderbolt, and the Bone Fletcher Hans2 in battle. It seemed apparent at first that Thunderbolt was winning thanks to his effective use of blind and rampage, but as the Bone Fletcher began to appear fatigued, his cranial flames burning low, he quickly vanished from sight thanks to his wind walk ability. The troll let out an animal cry of rage, his Mohawk shaking violently, knowing that his adversary had escaped him yet again. Inde_ed calculated whether he could take on the now weakened troll and whether it was worth the risk of exposing himself.

The time was ripe. The Bristleback readied his shotgun goo pellet and delivered a precise blow in Thunderbolt's face. The troll stumbled, confused by the sudden new assault. He started to run blindly at Inde_ed, throwing axes in the Bristleback's general direction. It was all too easy thought Inde_ed as he began to apply layer upon layer of goo as the troll began to choke from lack of air. This wasn't quite DotA from the game, there were other ways to kill and there were no such thing as hit points. He hit Thunderbolt's lifeless corpse with his crude weapon a few times to satisfy his sadistic nature then quickly retreated into the forest. Yes, this could work out very nicely, Inde_ed thought as he prowled the forest, covering his tracks and keeping well out of the way.
