Ubisoft Pushes Back 2008 Shooters
Bad news, just in time for the holidays.
Ubisoft has updated its 2008 release schedule with several delays. The delayed titles are all first person shooters ?Haze, Far Cry 2, and Brothers in Arms. We can't say delaying these doesn't make at least some sense, as there are more first person shooters out there right now than there are bad Chuck Norris jokes.
First off, Free Radical's Haze has officially been given an "early 2008" release date, news that probably comes as no surprise given that Christmas is less than two weeks away.
Far Cry 2 has also been pushed back a month from its original release date of February 2008, so expect to see it in March, or sometime after that.
Lastly, the PS3 is getting the shaft yet again ?Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway has been delayed again. While all other versions of the WW II shooter are still on track for a Q1 release, the PS3 version has been pushed back to March.
Hopefully Hell's Highway will end up with a cross-console same day release, but unfortunately that still isn't the standard. Keep it here for more news.
This is unfortunate for PS3 owners, as they see an anticipated third party exclusive slip (though rather predictably) and still, 360 games are coming out before PS3 games.
