The Simpsons Game may cause your IQ level to drop a few notches

WARNING: Playing this game may cause your IQ level to drop a few notches.

Doh!

That's to be expected when you become the irreverent Homer Simpson who thinks about food all day.

But don't underestimate what a buffoon cando.

Like Superman, the townfolk of Springfield will need him to save day and rescue them from video-game purgatory.
If you enjoy watching the Simpsons on television, wait till you become one of them in the virtualworld.

The experience is so crazy and funny that the Simpsons Game will provide hours of mindless fun for the whole family.

To create an authentic game, EAGames teamed up with writers from the TV show to come up with a totally new story line and 8,000 lines of dialogue that are good enough for a fullseason.

Of course, the game also features the same voice talents who give life to TV's most lovable cartoon family.

The gameplay is so simple that even children will have no problems in controlling the characters in a variety of missions to save Springfield.

You can be any of the family members, but the obvious choice for most gamers would be Homer or his son Bart.

If you play as Homer, you will be able to execute one of his special ability - a yucky burp which unleashes a foul-smelling green smoke that will stun everyone aroundhim.

Bart's ability is much simpler - he has a catapult which he can use to defend himself.

Like the TV show, this game will keep you entertained and is certainly good for a few laughs.

But don't expect a strong storyline.

Obviously, with a fruitcake for brain, Homer cannot be expected to solve intricate problems.

Just how dumb can he be? The game starts with him dreaming about being trapped in a world ofcandy.

And his path to freedom is to track down the white chocolate rabbit and to swallow it in a singlegulp.

Along the way, he is met with fierce resistance from other chocolate rabbits that he has to gobble up one by one.

Pay attention to Homer's dialogue as you move him around the town.

Unlike most other games whose characters usually keep mum during play, Homer keeps mumbling to himself and his lines are actually quite funny.

And that's one of the features that will endear fans to this game.
